 Catholic priest reportedly klled in Kogi  A Catholic priest, Rev. Fr. Samuel Opeyemi Oyetoro, has been reportedly killed by unknown assailants in Ajaokuta, Kogi State. According to reports, the priest was stabbed multiple times along Ajaokuta road on Wednesday, 29th July 2026. His body was found dumped at the roadside.  Rev. Fr. Oyetoro was born in Egbe, Yagba West Local Government Area of Kogi State and a native of Ayetoro in Ijumu Local Government Area.  Until his death, he served as a priest at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Egbe. Man arrested in Adamawa for allegedly ki!ling court clerk who went to serve him with court summons

The police in Adamawa state have arrested a 43 year old man identified as Linus Dimas, a resident of Kugama Wuro Jibir, Mayo Belwa Local Government, for allegedly k!lling a court clerk who went to serve him a court summon. 

In a statement released, the spokesperson of the state police command, SP Suleiman Nguroje, says on December 18, the suspect rejected the court summons served to him from Yauba Usman, a staff of Nasarawo Jereng Area Court and st&bbed him with a kni!e severally thereby inflicting deep cuts on him.

Nguroje said the court clerk was immediately rushed to Hospital but was confirmed d£ad.

He added that the state Commissioner of Police has directed that the case be discreetly investigated.
