 Dolly Parton returns to public eye to celebrate opening day at Dollywood     Dolly Parton made her first public appearance in months to celebrate the opening day of Dollywood in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee, on Friday. The country music icon reflected on the past year, a year after the death of her husband of nearly 60 years, Carl Dean, saying she is “doing good” and has been working to rebuild herself spiritually, emotionally, and physically after grieving and dealing with health issues that kept her from touring. Joined on stage by Dollywood president Eugene Naughton, Parton brought her trademark humor to the crowd, joking about rumors of a new husband while reaffirming her devotion to Dean. She also shared updates on her ongoing projects, including a new Broadway musical and her Dolly’s Life of Many Colors Museum in Nashville.  Northern Lawyers Forum Reacts To Killings At Tudun Biri Community


The Concerned Northern Lawyers Forum has expressed worry over the recent airstrikes on innocent civilians which resulted to loss of many lives and others injured at Tudun Biri Community in Igabi Local Government Area of Kaduna State.


Addressing newsmen on behalf of the forum, Barrister Nafi'u Abubakar expressed the resolve of the legal fraternity in Northern Nigeria to support the affected victims and their families, and to also ensure that justice is served, and rights of the victims are protected.


He appealed to the Federal Government to take immediate and decisive action to ensure a thorough and independent investigation into the incident, while preventive measures are put in place to forestall future re-occurrence of the incident.


Barrister Nafi'u Abubakar also called on the military to exercise utmost caution to avoid further instances of collateral damage and civilian casualties.


Also speaking, Barrister Aliyu Usman Hajji disclosed that over 600 Northern lawyers have volunteered to pursue legal action until justice is served to the Tudun Biri victims.


The forum extended its condolences to the families who lost their loved ones and vowed to work tirelessly to pursue legal means to claim compensation owed to the victims.
