  DEVELOPING STORY: Man Found Unconscious After Allegedly Throwing Children From Storey Building in Aba A man was reportedly found unconscious but still breathing after allegedly falling from a storey building at New Phase of Umuobe by Barracks, Opobo Road, Obignwa, Abia State. The incident, which occurred on Thursday, has caused panic among residents of the area. Eyewitnesses told Magic FM Aba that the man allegedly threw two of his children from the building before attempting to throw down his wife. However, the circumstances surrounding the incident remain unclear. The two children were reportedly rushed to a hospital for medical attention. As of the time of filing this report, Magic FM Aba could not independently confirm their condition or whether they survived the fall. The man, who sustained an injury to the head, was still lying in front of his house and had yet to receive assistance as of the time of this report. Rivers crisis: Court declares Fubara’s ally, Ehie, authentic Speaker

A High Court sitting in Port Harcourt, Rivers State, on Tuesday, confirmed Edison Ehie as the authentic Speaker of the state’s House of Assembly.

Ehie is one of the four lawmakers backing Governor Siminalayi Fubara in the ongoing face-off between him and his immediate predecessor, Nyesom Wike.

Edison was suspended and removed as leader of the House by his colleagues who are loyal to Wike, the current Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja.

Giving the ruling, Justice M.W. Danagogo also ordered Martins Amaewhule and Dumle Maol to stop parading themselves as Speaker and Deputy Speaker of the Rivers State House of Assembly.

The court also warned against using thugs and policemen to gain access to the Assembly Complex.

The political crisis rocking the state took a new turn on Monday when about 27 lawmakers dumped the Peoples Democratic Party for the All Progressives Congress.
