 NDLEA dismantles Abuja drug bunks, arrests 132, recovers 220kg illicit substances  -Marwa hails operation, vows to sustain crackdown in FCT, other states  In a non-stop two-week offensive action against traffickers and dealers, operatives of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) have successfully dismantled several drug joints and bunks within and around the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Abuja where a total of 132 suspects were arrested and 220 kilograms of assorted illicit substances recovered. The wel-coordinated raids jointly conducted by the Agency's Directorate of Operations and General Investigation (DOGI) and the FCT Strategic Command from llth to 25th April 2026 were launched to dismantle illicit drug hubs contributing to substance abuse, trafficking, and associated criminal activities in the capital city after weeks of intelligence and surveillance across all identified hotspots. APC INAUGURATES CAMPAIGN COMMITTEE FOR FEBRUARY RE-RUN/BYE ELECTION IN JIGAWA. (PHOTO).

 APC Inaugurates Campaign Committee For February Re-Run/Bye Election in Jigawa


In preparation for the forthcoming  Re-run/Bye Election , All Progressive Congress Jigawa state chapter has inaugurated campaign committee under the chairmanship of the state Deputy Goverror Engineer Aminu Usman.


Speaking during the occasion held at the state party headquarters ,the  APC chairman Aminu Sani Gumel Said, the  February Re-run election is important to the party and an opportunity for the APC to reclaim the party's missing seat.


He further explained that, the state Governor Malam Umar Namadi after due consultation with all stakeholders approved for the constitution of the committee saddled with responsibility to ensure the party win the Re-run election for the Birnin Kudu/Buji Federal constituency seat.


In his speech after their inauguration, the the chairman campaign committee Engineer Aminu Usman promised to mobilize all stakeholders in the constituency where the Re-run election will take place and beyond for delivering the task given to them.


He said, the people of  Birnin Kudu/Buji have confidence on APC and it's candidate as they enjoyed unprecedented dividends of democracy, therefore he has confidence on wining the Re-run election.


Other members of the Committee include Secretary to State Government Alhaji Bala Ibrahim, member state assembly Buji constituency, state party chairman, all Special Advisers and Assistants to the Governor among others.


It could be recalled that, During the 2023 general elections INEC declared Adamu Yakubu of PDP as winner of the election for Buji/Birnin Kudu federal constituency, the victory which was challenged by  Engineer Magaji Da'U Aliyu of All Progressive Congress.


The election tribunal sitting in Dutse ordered for the re-run election at 8 polling units, ,the rulling which was also upheld by Appeal court and mandated INEC to conduct the re-run within three months to determine the winner.


The total number of 5,642 registered voters  are respect to participate in the only Re-run election schedule to hold on 3rd February 2024 in Jigawa state.
