ASUU Expresses Concern Over non Implementation of Agreement reached by the union and the FG

The National President Academic Staff Union of Universities ASUU Professor Emmanuel Osodeke has expressed concern that despite all the agreement reached between organised labour and the Federal Government non has been implemented.

He stated this while interacting with Radio Nigeria at the Gidan Kwano campus of Federal University of Technology Minna after interacting with ASUU members on a mobilisation visit.

Professor Emmanuel Osodeke lamented that despite the gentlemen agreement not even a dime has been paid to his members thereby creating unnecessary hardship to their family.

He said from the Federal University of Technology Minna they will proceed to other branch of ASUU to interact with members with a view to getting more inputs on the way forward.

Professor Emmanuel Osodeke expressesd displeasure that the issue of wage award, seven and a half months salary and other contentious issues earlier agreed with the Federal Government still remain unattended to.

On the possibility of embarking on strike to press home their demand, the ASUU National President said they will present all the suggestions gathered during it's National Executive Council NEC meeting slated  for this month for necessary action.

ASUU Chairman Federal University of Technology chapter Professor Gbolahon Bolarin described the visit by Professor Emmanuel Osodeke as encouraging and assured him of his members unflinching support to achieve the set target.

The interactive session which Professor Gbolahon Bolarin tagged as fruitful discussion lasted for over four hours.
