He advised all, especially the youth to eschew vices and embrace virtues, avoid cutting corners so as not to cut their lives short, emphasizing that true happiness comes from God.

The event, which took place on December 30 in his compound, kickstarted with a Holy Mass officiated by Rev. Fr. Jerome Nwafornso, Parish Priest St. Joseph's Catholic Church, Maryland Amawbia.

Earlier in a homily, Fr. Nwafornso said that appreciation is really what God demanded from us. "We should always thank God.  "Joe is one of those who deemed it fit to thank God for his faithfulness.

"God has been using Joe to help others. As he has made an indelible mark on the sands of time, God will write his name eternally in the book of life. God will know how to bless him in 2024 for the good works he is doing".

The cleric noted that appreciation is an application for multiplication of God's gift, explaining that most people found it difficult to thank God, saying that in all condition, we should always thank God.

Iyom Josephine Anenih, the former Minister of Women Affairs, prayed for Dr. Odumodu, thanking God for his life, progress and his new age, praying for God's sustenance on him to continue the good job he is doing in Amawbia and environ.

She, then, prayed God to keep him and his family away from the enemies, give him the grace, open doors, and favour to move on with his good works.

Lady Ngozi Okoye, prayed for Nigeria, especially the leaders that God should touch their hearts to use the resources entrusted to them to alleviate the poverty of the people.

"May they remember that they are not leaders but servants of the people, to share the resources accordingly that it will get to the nook and cranny of the nation."
