 Kebbi Govt Donates 10 Hilux Vehicles to Boost Security on Sokoto–Badagry Super Highway  The Kebbi State Government has handed over 10 brand-new Hilux vehicles to the Federal Ministry of Works to strengthen security for personnel working on the Sokoto–Badagry Super Highway project. The vehicles were formally received by the Minister of State for Works, Bello Muhammad Goronyo, who praised Kebbi State Governor, Dr. Nasiru Idris (Kauran Gwandu), for the donation. Goronyo described the gesture as a clear demonstration of the state government’s commitment to protecting workers and contractors on the strategic highway corridor. He explained that the vehicles will be deployed exclusively to security operatives providing cover for construction teams along the section of the super highway passing through Kebbi State.  Customs Hands Over Tones Of Unregistered Drugs  To NAFDAC


The Nigeria Custom Services, Sokoto, Zamfara Area Command  has 

handover consignments of unregistered pharmaceutical drugs to  NAFDAC in Sokoto state.


In a joint news briefing held in the State , Comptroller of Customs in the Area,Musa Omale said the handing over  was in line with the Collaboration Policy thrust aimed at safeguarding the life and Health of the citizenry.


The Area comptroller said more than one million and one hundred cartons and over three thousand packets of unregistered pharmaceutical were seized by the command.


Musa Omale underscored the danger of counterfeit and unregistered Drugs Poses to the country stressing that drugs trafficking is a Global challenge which the whole world is grappling with. 


 He assured NAFDAC of the Command"s unflinching support to its fight against counterfeit drugs and warned smugglers to desist from the act as the Command was battle ready to free the area from drugs trafficking for social security and economic development of the country.


Mr. Omale reminded that the importation of Pharmaceutical Drugs through the land borders is not allow stressing that the Custom Service has streamline the importation of all Pharmaceutical Drugs through designated sea port, and are only cleared after meeting the pre-requisite documentation.


Radio Nigeria in Sokoto report that Drugs handed over include 450 Cartons of Real Extra Tablet, 405 cartons of sex enhancement drugs, 148 cartons of condom, 30 cartons of vernos chewable drugs and others.


Responding , the Sokoto State Coordinator of NAFDAC Alh. Garba Abubakar Adamu thanked the Nigeria Custom Service for the unwavering synergy and collaboration towards safeguarding the life and health of Nigerians.
