 Dolly Parton returns to public eye to celebrate opening day at Dollywood     Dolly Parton made her first public appearance in months to celebrate the opening day of Dollywood in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee, on Friday. The country music icon reflected on the past year, a year after the death of her husband of nearly 60 years, Carl Dean, saying she is “doing good” and has been working to rebuild herself spiritually, emotionally, and physically after grieving and dealing with health issues that kept her from touring. Joined on stage by Dollywood president Eugene Naughton, Parton brought her trademark humor to the crowd, joking about rumors of a new husband while reaffirming her devotion to Dean. She also shared updates on her ongoing projects, including a new Broadway musical and her Dolly’s Life of Many Colors Museum in Nashville. First lady welcomes baby of the year

First Lady of Nigeria, Senator Oluremi Tinubu has welcomed the first baby of the year in the FCT.  

The baby named Mister Johnson Boluwatife was delivered at 12.03 at the National Hospital Abuja.

The hospital is taking delivery of the first baby of the year after three years

On the occasion, Senator Remi Tinubu said the present administration was committed to the  welfare of Nigerians and urged nursing mothers to take proper care of their babies wellbeing. 

She said the birth of the baby symbolizes hope and new beginning for Nigeria

The parents of the new baby Mr and Mrs Johnson Boluwatife thanked federal government for the kind gesture and promised to train the child in the way of the lord. 

Minister of Women Affairs, Mrs Uju Kennedy-Ohanenye, who was on the first Lady’s entourage provided 5 years of financial assistance to a patient at the hospital 

Highlights of the occasion was the presentation of gifts to the first baby of the year and other nursing mothers.
