 Kebbi Govt Donates 10 Hilux Vehicles to Boost Security on Sokoto–Badagry Super Highway  The Kebbi State Government has handed over 10 brand-new Hilux vehicles to the Federal Ministry of Works to strengthen security for personnel working on the Sokoto–Badagry Super Highway project. The vehicles were formally received by the Minister of State for Works, Bello Muhammad Goronyo, who praised Kebbi State Governor, Dr. Nasiru Idris (Kauran Gwandu), for the donation. Goronyo described the gesture as a clear demonstration of the state government’s commitment to protecting workers and contractors on the strategic highway corridor. He explained that the vehicles will be deployed exclusively to security operatives providing cover for construction teams along the section of the super highway passing through Kebbi State. The Sokoto–Badagry Super Highway is a multi-state infrastructure project aimed at improving connectivity and economic activities across northern and southern Nigeria. More...

Hunters And Forest Security Receives 163 Complaints In One Year 


The Kano Nigeria Hunters and Forest Security Service (NHFSS), says it has  received 163 complaints from January to December.


 The Commander Nigerian Hunters and Forest Security Service (NHFSS) Kano State Command, Abdullahi Al-ameen made the disclosure  in Kano.


According to him, out of the total complaints received 154 had been treated, while nine were  still pending.


He explained that,the service is working ascidiously  to meet up to  it's mandate of  preventing and  detecting crimes and illegal activities perpetrated in the forests.


“Most of the cases were on animal theft, car and tricycle theft, debt, phone snatching, farmer  herder clash among others"he said.


The commander pointed out that,NHFSS would  partner with relevant stakeholders on community policing to achieve the desired objectives. 


Al-ameen further explained that this year, the service  would  retrain it's personnel on combat, capacity building, security information among others.


He maitained that,the training would  assist NHFSS personnel  to know what to do in the forest, gather relevant information on armed robbers, thieves among others.


The Commander also appealled to the  government to pass a bill to make them one of the government security outfits since they are still a voluntary organisation.


He solicited the cooperation of the public to make the state a zero crime free society.
