 Dolly Parton returns to public eye to celebrate opening day at Dollywood     Dolly Parton made her first public appearance in months to celebrate the opening day of Dollywood in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee, on Friday. The country music icon reflected on the past year, a year after the death of her husband of nearly 60 years, Carl Dean, saying she is “doing good” and has been working to rebuild herself spiritually, emotionally, and physically after grieving and dealing with health issues that kept her from touring. Joined on stage by Dollywood president Eugene Naughton, Parton brought her trademark humor to the crowd, joking about rumors of a new husband while reaffirming her devotion to Dean. She also shared updates on her ongoing projects, including a new Broadway musical and her Dolly’s Life of Many Colors Museum in Nashville. Ibadan Explosion Unfortunate - Speaker Abbas Laments Tragedy

The Speaker of the House of Representatives Dr. Abbas Tajudeen, has described as unfortunate, the explosion in Ibadan, the Oyo State capital, on Tuesday night.

  The Speaker, in statement by his Special Adviser on Media and Publicity Musa Abdullahi Krishi, called for proper investigation of the incident and possible arrest and prosecution of those suspected to have caused the explosion.

 The Speaker said it was terrifying for an explosion in a peaceful and populated ancient city like Ibadan.

According to the Speaker It is more worrisome that it happened at a time when the government is tackling various security issues and threats to lives and property

Dr. Tajudeen while praying to God to comfort the victims and their families, extended his condolences to the government and the people of Oyo State,
