 Dolly Parton returns to public eye to celebrate opening day at Dollywood     Dolly Parton made her first public appearance in months to celebrate the opening day of Dollywood in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee, on Friday. The country music icon reflected on the past year, a year after the death of her husband of nearly 60 years, Carl Dean, saying she is “doing good” and has been working to rebuild herself spiritually, emotionally, and physically after grieving and dealing with health issues that kept her from touring. Joined on stage by Dollywood president Eugene Naughton, Parton brought her trademark humor to the crowd, joking about rumors of a new husband while reaffirming her devotion to Dean. She also shared updates on her ongoing projects, including a new Broadway musical and her Dolly’s Life of Many Colors Museum in Nashville. Kwara Governor Salutes Gallant Security Officers at Armed Forces Remembrance Day

Kwara State Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq has urged Nigerians to unite and give their support to  members of the armed forces in their task of ensuring safety and security across the country.

Governor AbdulRazq made the call while speaking at an event to celebrate the 2024 Armed forces Remembrance Day in Ilorin.

He commended the effort of the 
fallen and serving men of the Armed Forces for their tremendous services to the nation.

AbdulRazq said the Armed Forces should be appreciated  for the sacrifices they have rendered .

He thanked the security agencies for their excellent roles in special operations in some parts of the state. 

The governor also appreciated their families for their tremendous roles and contribution to peace building.

He assured them of the commitment of his administration to support the families of the fallen heroes and those alive.
