 M23 says hundreds of Burundi soldiers captured in latest Congo offensive The Rwanda-backed M23 group has captured hundreds of Burundian soldiers during its latest offensive in eastern Democratic Republic of Congo, a rebel official said, as clashes continued despite a warning from the Trump administration. Last week M23 entered the strategic town of Uvira near the border with Burundi, less than a week after the presidents of Congo and Rwanda met in Washington with U.S. President Donald Trump and affirmed their commitment to a peace deal known as the Washington Accords. U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio said on Saturday that Rwanda's actions in eastern Congo violated the Washington Accords and vowed to "take action to ensure promises made to the President are kept". Rwanda denies supporting M23 and has blamed Congolese and Burundian forces for the renewed fighting. MAN ARRESTED ARRESTED FOR ATTEMPTED RAPE OF AN X-RAY TECH AT ST. MARY'S HOSPITAL IN DECATUR, ILLINOIS. (PHOTO).

Man arrested for attempted rape of an x-ray tech at St. Mary's hospital in Decatur, Illinois. 


22-year-old, Victor Nunnery, has been denied pre-trial release in relation to a January 6th incident.


On that day in January, Nunnery was treated at St. Mary's in Decatur for shoulder pain. Nunnery came into contact with the victim when he was sent for x-rays.


According to the technologist when she was done with his x-ray she was cleaning the equipment with her back to him. Nunnery suddenly grabbed her by the shoulders and slammed her into a wall. She fell to the ground and the two began struggling, with Nunnery repeatedly trying to pull her pants down. 


Fortunately a staff member that was walking by, heard screams and the sound of the shuffle. She ran into the room. She witnessed that the victim was exposed from the waist down and Nunnery was laying over her with his pants down.


Due to the distraction, the victim was able to flee the room and security arrived. 


According to security reports Nunnery tried to claim it was consensual, but then later asked how long he would get for a rape charge. He later told the police he was aroused by her, "touching his shoulders."
