 NDLEA dismantles Abuja drug bunks, arrests 132, recovers 220kg illicit substances  -Marwa hails operation, vows to sustain crackdown in FCT, other states  In a non-stop two-week offensive action against traffickers and dealers, operatives of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) have successfully dismantled several drug joints and bunks within and around the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Abuja where a total of 132 suspects were arrested and 220 kilograms of assorted illicit substances recovered. The wel-coordinated raids jointly conducted by the Agency's Directorate of Operations and General Investigation (DOGI) and the FCT Strategic Command from llth to 25th April 2026 were launched to dismantle illicit drug hubs contributing to substance abuse, trafficking, and associated criminal activities in the capital city after weeks of intelligence and surveillance across all identified hotspots. New Year Pardon: 14 Inmates Regain Freedom In Nasarawa State 

        

Goveenor Abdullahi Sule of Nasarawa State has Pardoned fourteen inmates serving various jail terms at the correctional facility in the State.

The State Commissioner for Justice and Attorney General Barrister Labaran Magaji stated this in a statement and issued to newsmen in lafia, the State Capital.

The Statement quotes the commissioner saying the move of the Governor was in exercise of the powers conferred on him under section 212 (1) and (2) of 1999 constitution as amended.

It explained that Governor Abdullahi Sule had carried out the function based on the enabling powers conferred on him and in due consultation with the State Advisory Council on prerogative of mercy.

The Statement maintained that, the Governor had released the inmates in commemoration of the first day of January, 2024 celebration.

It therefore, advised the inmates to be law abiding and desist from commiting any crime that would bring them back to the Correctional Centres
