 Dolly Parton returns to public eye to celebrate opening day at Dollywood     Dolly Parton made her first public appearance in months to celebrate the opening day of Dollywood in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee, on Friday. The country music icon reflected on the past year, a year after the death of her husband of nearly 60 years, Carl Dean, saying she is “doing good” and has been working to rebuild herself spiritually, emotionally, and physically after grieving and dealing with health issues that kept her from touring. Joined on stage by Dollywood president Eugene Naughton, Parton brought her trademark humor to the crowd, joking about rumors of a new husband while reaffirming her devotion to Dean. She also shared updates on her ongoing projects, including a new Broadway musical and her Dolly’s Life of Many Colors Museum in Nashville. New Year Pardon: 14 Inmates Regain Freedom In Nasarawa State 

        

Goveenor Abdullahi Sule of Nasarawa State has Pardoned fourteen inmates serving various jail terms at the correctional facility in the State.

The State Commissioner for Justice and Attorney General Barrister Labaran Magaji stated this in a statement and issued to newsmen in lafia, the State Capital.

The Statement quotes the commissioner saying the move of the Governor was in exercise of the powers conferred on him under section 212 (1) and (2) of 1999 constitution as amended.

It explained that Governor Abdullahi Sule had carried out the function based on the enabling powers conferred on him and in due consultation with the State Advisory Council on prerogative of mercy.

The Statement maintained that, the Governor had released the inmates in commemoration of the first day of January, 2024 celebration.

It therefore, advised the inmates to be law abiding and desist from commiting any crime that would bring them back to the Correctional Centres
