  DEVELOPING STORY: Man Found Unconscious After Allegedly Throwing Children From Storey Building in Aba A man was reportedly found unconscious but still breathing after allegedly falling from a storey building at New Phase of Umuobe by Barracks, Opobo Road, Obignwa, Abia State. The incident, which occurred on Thursday, has caused panic among residents of the area. Eyewitnesses told Magic FM Aba that the man allegedly threw two of his children from the building before attempting to throw down his wife. However, the circumstances surrounding the incident remain unclear. The two children were reportedly rushed to a hospital for medical attention. As of the time of filing this report, Magic FM Aba could not independently confirm their condition or whether they survived the fall. The man, who sustained an injury to the head, was still lying in front of his house and had yet to receive assistance as of the time of this report. Plateau massacre: Protesting women burn down traditional ruler’s house



Irate women protesting over the fallout of the recent killings in some communities in Plateau State, on Friday, burnt down the residence of the District Head of Bokkos town, Michal Monday Adanchi.

Bakkos town, in Bokkos Local Government Area, is one of the communities where the killings took place.


It was gathered that the district head’s house was razed around 12:30 on Friday.


The women were said to have been angered by the arrest of some members of the community for their alleged involvement in the killings.


An eyewitness told reporters that “the incident began at the police station, where they [the women] expressed their anger over the arrest of some members of the community”.


“After leaving the police station, they proceeded to the house of the traditional ruler, protesting that he was a sellout. A few minutes after reaching the house, they set it ablaze,” the eyewitness added.


However, the violent nature of the protest led to the arrival of soldiers who dispersed the protesting women.


The state police command confirmed the arrest of eight people in connection with the attacks.


In attacks on about 23 villages between December 24, 25 and 26, MAGIC FM reports that over 200 people were killed, many others injured and hundreds of houses razed.
