 IGP DISU PAYS OPERATIONAL VISIT TO  AKWA IBOM, PRESIDES OVER PASSING-OUT CEREMONY OF 1,068 RETRAINED CONSTABLES The Inspector-General of Police, IGP Olatunji Rilwan Disu, psc(+), NPM, today, 30th April 2026, undertook an official visit to Akwa Ibom State, where he paid a courtesy call on the Executive Governor, His Excellency, Pastor Umo Eno, ahead of the passing-out ceremony of retrained Police Constables in Uyo. The engagement with the State Government focused on strengthening institutional collaboration in support of ongoing policing reforms anchored on professionalism, accountability, and intelligence-led operations.  The Inspector-General of Police reaffirmed the commitment of the Nigeria Police Force to building a modern, service-driven institution that prioritizes public trust and operational efficiency. TROOPS RAID TERRORISTS' HIDEOUT IN KEBBI STATE RESCUE KIDNAPPED PERSONS 



Troops of  8 Division, Nigerian Army, in conjunction with operatives of Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) including local vigilantes in the early hours of today raided terrorists' camp and successfully rescued 4 kidnapped persons and recovered arms and ammunition.


The raid operation was conducted in the identified terrorists' hideout at Sabon Gari Village in Shanga LGA of Kebbi state. During the operation, troops neutralized one of the terrorists and extricated 4  kidnap victims. The troops also recovered 3 AK 47 rifles, 3 Magazines, 142 rounds of 7.62mm Special ammunition and 2 pairs of camouflage uniforms.


All the rescued victims who are 4 males have since been reunited with their families, while troops continued to trail the wounded and fleeing terrorists.

Innoson Gives Out Brand New IVM G5 and Salary For Life To The Man Who Prophesied About His Vehicle Manufacturing In 1979.  Last Saturday, July 22nd the Chairman of Innoson Vehicle Manufacturing Company Ltd, Chief Dr Innocent Ifediaso Chukwuma OFR gave out a brand new Innoson IVM G5 to Mr Ikechukwu Osakwe popularly known as Osabros who prophesied to him in 1979 that he would be the first man in Africa to manufacture vehicles and sell to different African countries.  The prophecy was given at the period the then Innocent Chukwuma could not boast of a car, talk less of manufacturing one.
