  DEVELOPING STORY: Man Found Unconscious After Allegedly Throwing Children From Storey Building in Aba A man was reportedly found unconscious but still breathing after allegedly falling from a storey building at New Phase of Umuobe by Barracks, Opobo Road, Obignwa, Abia State. The incident, which occurred on Thursday, has caused panic among residents of the area. Eyewitnesses told Magic FM Aba that the man allegedly threw two of his children from the building before attempting to throw down his wife. However, the circumstances surrounding the incident remain unclear. The two children were reportedly rushed to a hospital for medical attention. As of the time of filing this report, Magic FM Aba could not independently confirm their condition or whether they survived the fall. The man, who sustained an injury to the head, was still lying in front of his house and had yet to receive assistance as of the time of this report.  AFCON 2023: Super Eagles deserved victory over Angola – Peseiro


Super Eagles head coach, Jose Peseiro, has praised his players for another gritty display following the team’s 1-0 win over Angola in their quarter-final tie at the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations.

Ademola Lookman fired home the winning goal for the Super Eagles five minutes before the break.

The Super Eagles wasted a number of chances in the game but were able to protect their lead.

Peseiro eulogised his players for working hard to achieve victory in the game.

“We played a good game, Angola showed they deserved to be here. We created two chances in the first half and hit the post in the first half.

“I’m very happy with my players. We scored once goal and could have had one or two more.

“My team did well against a good team. We controlled the game and dominated our opponent.

“In the first half, we played well, closed down the spaces and didn’t give them room to operate.

“After the break, Angola came out more and we had chances on the counter attack which we didn’t utilise.

“I’m happy for my players, we deserved to win the game. I want to congratulate them on this victory.”
