 Dolly Parton returns to public eye to celebrate opening day at Dollywood     Dolly Parton made her first public appearance in months to celebrate the opening day of Dollywood in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee, on Friday. The country music icon reflected on the past year, a year after the death of her husband of nearly 60 years, Carl Dean, saying she is “doing good” and has been working to rebuild herself spiritually, emotionally, and physically after grieving and dealing with health issues that kept her from touring.  ANAMBRA GOVT DECLARES MURDER OF ONE CHIEF SHADRACH OKOYE WANTED

The Anambra State Government has declared the suspect that used masquerade to kill a 71 year old man,  Chief Shadrach Okoye of Umuawulu  community in Awka South Local Government Area wanted.


Reacting to the murder of one, the Anambra State Commissioner for Culture, Entertainment and Tourism, Mr. Don Onyenji said that it is a criminal offence for any one to murder another.


Note that on the December 25, 2023, a 19 years boy was alleged to have used masquerade to kill one Chief Shadrach Okoye while the victim was seeing his visitor off.


According to the report, the suspect has been on the run since the incident occurred last year.


Commissioner Onyenji, then, called on the police to investigate the matter to ensure that justice prevailed

.

He made it clear that the state government has made a statement on the conduct of masquerades during festivals, mandating masquerades to entertain their guest at the community's square and in a civil manner.


The commissioner also appealed to the traditional rulers and presidents general of various communities to monitor their masquerades to ensure that they do not obstruct the roads nor tax people to pay money.


Mr Onyenji while sympatizing with the family of the deceased said that he has discussed the issue with the traditional ruler of Umuawulu Community.


He, then, called on every community to be part of the solution to the problem by providing the relevant information to the state government.
