  DEVELOPING STORY: Man Found Unconscious After Allegedly Throwing Children From Storey Building in Aba A man was reportedly found unconscious but still breathing after allegedly falling from a storey building at New Phase of Umuobe by Barracks, Opobo Road, Obignwa, Abia State. The incident, which occurred on Thursday, has caused panic among residents of the area. Eyewitnesses told Magic FM Aba that the man allegedly threw two of his children from the building before attempting to throw down his wife. However, the circumstances surrounding the incident remain unclear. The two children were reportedly rushed to a hospital for medical attention. As of the time of filing this report, Magic FM Aba could not independently confirm their condition or whether they survived the fall. The man, who sustained an injury to the head, was still lying in front of his house and had yet to receive assistance as of the time of this report.  Female Student Found Dead In Her Hostel

A female student of Adekunle Ajasin University, Akungba, (AAUA), was found dead in her room this weekend.


The deceased identified as Ifeoluwa Adekunle was a 300-level student of the Department of Economics.


It was gathered that the undergraduate student, who lived outside the campus, was attacked by her assailants while alone in the room.


A source, who preferred to be anonymous, said the killing caused apprehension among other students, stressing that the case had been reported to the police.


“We found her in a pool of blood in her room. She was stabbed to death by yet-to-be-identified persons who came visiting. We know this is not a cult-related issue as some people are propagating.”


“We have reported the murder case to the police but seems they are slow in responding to our demands in identifying and tracking those behind this dastardly act.


“We are imploring the Ondo State Government to please look into the matter and ensure that the deceased gets justice,” he said.


Confirming the incident in a chat on Sunday, the Police Public Relations Officer in Ondo State, Funmilayo Odunlami-Omisanya, said investigation was ongoing.


Odunlami-Omisanya said the corpse of the deceased had been moved to the hospital’s morgue.


“She was killed but her corpse had been moved to the hospital’s morgue and we have begun our investigation on the case.”


“We are not sure if it’s a cult-related activity because she was murdered in her room situated off the campus but investigation is going to unravel the cause,” she said.
