 Gov. Ododo’s Executive Proclamation Not State of Emergency  Kogi State Governor, Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo  has clarified that his recent Executive Proclamation on security protocols in the state is not a declaration of a state of emergency but a set of necessary measures to enhance the security architecture to crackdown on criminals in all parts of the state.  This was contained in a statement by the Special Adviser on Media to the Governor, Hon. Ismaila Isah, explaining that the proclamation is a lawful constitutional measure aimed at strengthening security coordination and protecting lives and property across Kogi State.  Gov. Ododo emphasized that it is within his powers as the Chief Security Officer of the state under Section 14 subsection 2(b) of the 1999 Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria (as amended).  Fire Of God Will Consume Those Messing Around With Our Traditional Rulers – RCCG Church Overseer, Pastor Adeboye


stor Enoch Adeboye, the General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), has called down the “fire of God” to consume the killers of traditional rulers in Nigeria.


The respected cleric, who said this while reacting to the killing of two traditional rulers in Ekiti State by gunmen suspected to be Fulani herders, said that those trying to mess around with traditional rulers in the country would not know peace as the monarchs were anointed.


Pastor Adeboye during the church’s monthly Holy Ghost Service programme tagged, “From The Mountain Top” said, “The fire of God will consume all those trying to mess around with our traditional rulers.


“Because as far as God is concerned, traditional rulers are anointed.”


The cleric's reaction came following the escalating insecurity in the country, with the recent killing of three traditional rulers in the Southwestern region of the country within four days.
