Terrifying new dashcam footage shows moment doomed NBC helicopter falls out of the sky The terrifying moment an NBC helicopter fell out of the sky and plunged into the ground near where an SUV had slammed into a Metro bus was caught on dashcam. The video, obtained by KTLA, shows the helicopter descending, caught from afar on the vehicle camera of Yera Valencia. She said: “I downloaded the video of my dashcam. It’s a little dot on the video. It’s a crisp video and it just goes down.” She added: “God, it’s so close, it could have happened to anyone. My parents walk down the street.” The two back-to-back Tuesday night crashes resulted in five deaths — two involving the bus and SUV, and three as a result of the chopper going down, killing reporter Eliana Moreno, pilot George Marciniw and pedestrian Edy Gutierrez Mejia.

IMPROVED SERVICE DELIVERY/INTERNAL SECURITY: IGP reactivates Smartforce Database Management System


Charges all officers to enrol for digitalized policing, reaffirms the use of AI for better security


The Inspector General of Police, IGP Olukayode Adeolu Egbetokun Ph.D, NPM has ordered the reactivation of Police Smartforce DataBase System as part of his digitalization drive for the Police Force to ensure all officers have their details captured and stored for record purposes and to ease administrative bottlenecks, create ease in tracking postings/transfers, and issue Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) Cards for personnel identification.


The main objective of the database is to tremendously enhance the competence and effective service delivery in all areas of policing, most especially in the smooth administrative management of the Nigeria Police Force as a whole. The system, which is integrated with modern technology and state of the art appliances, will reduce reliance on manual and burdensome traditional administrative methods; thereby ensuring an effective management of the workforce of force.


While reiterating his vision for a Police driven by the integration of cutting-edge technology and artificial intelligence (AI), the Inspector-General of Police, orders immediate commencement of the digitalization process across all Commands and Formations of the Force for timeous upgrade and operation of the system and charges all officers to enrol for the process at their various commands formations across the country.
