 Dolly Parton returns to public eye to celebrate opening day at Dollywood     Dolly Parton made her first public appearance in months to celebrate the opening day of Dollywood in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee, on Friday. The country music icon reflected on the past year, a year after the death of her husband of nearly 60 years, Carl Dean, saying she is “doing good” and has been working to rebuild herself spiritually, emotionally, and physically after grieving and dealing with health issues that kept her from touring. Joined on stage by Dollywood president Eugene Naughton, Parton brought her trademark humor to the crowd, joking about rumors of a new husband while reaffirming her devotion to Dean. She also shared updates on her ongoing projects, including a new Broadway musical and her Dolly’s Life of Many Colors Museum in Nashville. INDIANA DOG FOUND WITH HIS SNOUT ZIP-TIED FINDS FOREVER HOME WITH THE OFFICER WHO RESCUED HIM. (PHOTO)

 Indiana dog found with his snout zip-tied finds forever home with the officer who rescued him.


Police officer, Stephanie Northcutt, of South Bend, Indiana was startled and appalled last Friday when she spotted a beautiful Doberman wandering the streets with a zip-tie around his snout.


Northcutt was able to safely catch and hold the pup while a bystander removed the zip-tie which was restricting the dogs ability to eat and drink.


Northcutt has now adopted the Doberman and named him Zeus.  She stated she knew she wanted him as part of her family as soon as she laid eyes on him. Incredibly, this is the second dog this big hearted officer has saved from bad situations and adopted while on the job.


Zeus is now doing extremely well and enjoying getting to know his new family and soaking up all the love they can give.


This is a sad story with such a happy and heartwarming ending. Thank you Officer Northcutt for being such an awesome officer. 


Police are still investigating this incident.
