 NDLEA dismantles Abuja drug bunks, arrests 132, recovers 220kg illicit substances  -Marwa hails operation, vows to sustain crackdown in FCT, other states  In a non-stop two-week offensive action against traffickers and dealers, operatives of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) have successfully dismantled several drug joints and bunks within and around the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Abuja where a total of 132 suspects were arrested and 220 kilograms of assorted illicit substances recovered. The wel-coordinated raids jointly conducted by the Agency's Directorate of Operations and General Investigation (DOGI) and the FCT Strategic Command from llth to 25th April 2026 were launched to dismantle illicit drug hubs contributing to substance abuse, trafficking, and associated criminal activities in the capital city after weeks of intelligence and surveillance across all identified hotspots. INDIANA DOG FOUND WITH HIS SNOUT ZIP-TIED FINDS FOREVER HOME WITH THE OFFICER WHO RESCUED HIM. (PHOTO)

 Indiana dog found with his snout zip-tied finds forever home with the officer who rescued him.


Police officer, Stephanie Northcutt, of South Bend, Indiana was startled and appalled last Friday when she spotted a beautiful Doberman wandering the streets with a zip-tie around his snout.


Northcutt was able to safely catch and hold the pup while a bystander removed the zip-tie which was restricting the dogs ability to eat and drink.


Northcutt has now adopted the Doberman and named him Zeus.  She stated she knew she wanted him as part of her family as soon as she laid eyes on him. Incredibly, this is the second dog this big hearted officer has saved from bad situations and adopted while on the job.


Zeus is now doing extremely well and enjoying getting to know his new family and soaking up all the love they can give.


This is a sad story with such a happy and heartwarming ending. Thank you Officer Northcutt for being such an awesome officer. 


Police are still investigating this incident.
