 Catholic priest reportedly klled in Kogi  A Catholic priest, Rev. Fr. Samuel Opeyemi Oyetoro, has been reportedly killed by unknown assailants in Ajaokuta, Kogi State. According to reports, the priest was stabbed multiple times along Ajaokuta road on Wednesday, 29th July 2026. His body was found dumped at the roadside.  Rev. Fr. Oyetoro was born in Egbe, Yagba West Local Government Area of Kogi State and a native of Ayetoro in Ijumu Local Government Area.  Until his death, he served as a priest at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Egbe. Jefferson County, Kentucky deputy dies from an accidental discharge from his firearm.


60-year-old Marion "Scott" Fawbush passed away in his vehicle around 5pm on Wednesday.  


According to official reports Fawbush had just gotten of work and was in his vehicle when his gun discharged.  The round struck him in a major artery in his leg and he sadly died on scene.


Fawbush has been a deputy for Jefferson County since 2016. He served 31 years in the army, retiring as Command Sergeant Major. 


Our thoughts and prayers are with Marion "Scott" Fawbush's family and friends.
