 Kebbi Govt Donates 10 Hilux Vehicles to Boost Security on Sokoto–Badagry Super Highway  The Kebbi State Government has handed over 10 brand-new Hilux vehicles to the Federal Ministry of Works to strengthen security for personnel working on the Sokoto–Badagry Super Highway project. The vehicles were formally received by the Minister of State for Works, Bello Muhammad Goronyo, who praised Kebbi State Governor, Dr. Nasiru Idris (Kauran Gwandu), for the donation. Goronyo described the gesture as a clear demonstration of the state government’s commitment to protecting workers and contractors on the strategic highway corridor. He explained that the vehicles will be deployed exclusively to security operatives providing cover for construction teams along the section of the super highway passing through Kebbi State.  LASG PRESENTS ALIMOSHO MODEL CITY PLAN TO PUBLIC



As part of the process of finalising the ongoing review of the Alimosho Model City Plan, the State Government will, from Monday, 19th February, present the document to members of the public for further comments.


According to the Commissioner for Physical Planning and Urban Development, Dr. Oluyinka Olumide, the planning document would be available at nine different locations, from Monday, 19th February, to Wednesday, 27th March to allow for robust participation and ownership,  while general stakeholders' engagement would follow a week later.


For the four-week duration, members of the public can access the document and make comments at the following centres between 9.00 am and 4.00 pm: (i) Alimosho Local Government Secretariat, Alimosho; (ii) Agbado Oke-Odo Local Council Development Area Secretariat,  Abule-Egba; (iii) Ayobo-Ipaja Local Council Development Area Secretariat, Ipaja; (iv) Egbe-Idimu Local Council Development Area Secretariat, Isheri; (v) Mosan-Okunola Local Council Development Area Secretariat,  Water Corporation B/Stop, Ipaja; (vi) Ikotun-Igando Local Council Development Area Secretariat, Ikotun; (vii) Lagos State Physical Planning Permit Authority (LASPPPA) Office Abesan Housing Estate, Ipaja; (viii) LASPPPA Head Office, Oba Akinjobi Way, GRA, Ikeja; (ix) Ministry of Physical Planning and Urban Development, Block 15, The Secretariat, Alausa, Ikeja.


Thereafter, the stakeholders' engagement on the same document will come up at Noble Castle Event Centre, Igando on Thursday, 4th April, 2024, at 10.00 am.
