 The Lagos State Wastewater Management Office (LSWMO), yesterday, sealed off some buildings/properties across the state over different environmental infractions. They are; * A property on 34, Adeniji Adele, Lagos Island for deliberate discharge of raw sewage into the public drain causing offensive odour and sewage flowing in the community, constituting public nuisance, environmental pollution and endangering human life. * A block of Shops along Powerline Road, Meiran, Alimosho, for the illegal construction and operation of unsanitary toilet facility on a road setback without a permit, constituting public nuisance, environmental pollution and endangering human life. * A three-storey building at 38, Adeniji Adele Street, Lagos Island for deliberate discharge of raw sewage into the public drain. * A building at H29, House of Jesus Street, Langbasa, Ibeju-Lekki, Lagos, for the deliberate discharge of raw sewage into the public drains.  OUTING SERVICE HELD IN HONOUR OF LATE GOV AKEREDOLU 



•Let’s Celebrate Late Governor’s Life - Bishop 


An outing service in honour of the late Governor of  Ondo State, Arakunrin Oluwarotimi Akeredolu,SAN, CON, has been held at the Cathedral Church of St. Andrew, Imola, Owo on Sunday. 


The children of the late Governor led by his first son, Oluwarotimi Akeredolu Jnr. alongside other  family members attended the Service. 


Ondo State Governor, Hon. Lucky Aiyedatiwa and his deputy, Mr. Adelami Olayide were also at the Service. 


Other dignitaries included Royal fathers; lawmakers led by the majority leader, Hon. Oluwole Ogunmolasuyi; former Minister; members of the State Executive Council under the late Akeredolu led by the former Secretary to the State Government, Princess Oladunni Odu and frontline gubernatorial aspirant, Mr. Wale Akinterinwa. 


The outing service marked the end of the week long funeral arrangements for the late Governor.


In his homily tittle “Look Unto God”, Bishop of Owo Anglican Diocese, Rt Revd Dr Stephen Ayodeji Fagbemi emphasised the need to always seek only God’s face. 


The Bishop, while speaking about the good work done by the late Governor, urged the family to celebrate Aketi’s life. 


“It’s the nature of man to die. Aketi did his best but God has taken him away. I want to appeal to you to celebrate his life and not mourn like unbelievers. 


The Bishop charged the new government in the state to continue with the legacies of the late Akeredolu. 


“The legacies expected to be delivered at the end of Akeredolu’s eight years must not be abandoned. Strive to continue with the good legacies of the late Governor in the areas of security, infrastructure development, and in taking care of the poor in the state. Maintain Akeredolu legacies.” He said. 


The late Governor’s immediate younger brother, Prof. Wole Akeredolu who spoke on behalf of the family thanked the people for celebrating the life of the late Akeredolu. 


He also affirmed the family’s commitment to continue to support the Church and sustain the legacy of the late Governor who was the Chancellor of the Diocese.
