 Dolly Parton returns to public eye to celebrate opening day at Dollywood     Dolly Parton made her first public appearance in months to celebrate the opening day of Dollywood in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee, on Friday. The country music icon reflected on the past year, a year after the death of her husband of nearly 60 years, Carl Dean, saying she is “doing good” and has been working to rebuild herself spiritually, emotionally, and physically after grieving and dealing with health issues that kept her from touring. Joined on stage by Dollywood president Eugene Naughton, Parton brought her trademark humor to the crowd, joking about rumors of a new husband while reaffirming her devotion to Dean. She also shared updates on her ongoing projects, including a new Broadway musical and her Dolly’s Life of Many Colors Museum in Nashville. SENEGAL'S CONSTITUTIONAL COUNCIL HAS OVERTURNED PRESIDENT SALL'S DECISION TO POSTPONE THE PRESIDENTIAL ELECTION. (PHOTO).

Senegal's Constitutional Council has overturned President Sall's decision to postpone the presidential election, ruling it unlawful.


 The Commission of the Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS) has called on stakeholders in Senegal's electoral process to comply with the decision of the Constitutional Council following a decision to overturn a bid by President Macky Sall to postpone the February 25 presidential election, ruling it unlawful.


"The Commission urges all stakeholders in the electoral process to comply with the decision of the Constitutional Council and calls on the competent authorities to set a date for the presidential election in accordance with the decision," ECOWAS said in a press release. 


Adding: "The Commission calls on the political class and all stakeholders to show restraint and give priority to inclusive dialogue to preserve the democratic gains of this model ECOWAS Member State."
