 NDLEA dismantles Abuja drug bunks, arrests 132, recovers 220kg illicit substances  -Marwa hails operation, vows to sustain crackdown in FCT, other states  In a non-stop two-week offensive action against traffickers and dealers, operatives of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) have successfully dismantled several drug joints and bunks within and around the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Abuja where a total of 132 suspects were arrested and 220 kilograms of assorted illicit substances recovered. The wel-coordinated raids jointly conducted by the Agency's Directorate of Operations and General Investigation (DOGI) and the FCT Strategic Command from llth to 25th April 2026 were launched to dismantle illicit drug hubs contributing to substance abuse, trafficking, and associated criminal activities in the capital city after weeks of intelligence and surveillance across all identified hotspots. Shehu Sani Asks FIFA To Probe Alleged Charm Worn By Ivory Coast Goalkeeper During AFCON 2023 Match


Former senator and social activist, Shehu Sani, has urged the Fédération Internationale de Football Association (FIFA) to investigate the allegation of usage of "juju" (charm) by the goalkeeper of the Ivory Coast national team, Yahia Fofana in the just concluded African Cup of Nations (AFCON).


“FIFA should investigate the alleged use of Juju by the Ivory Coast Goalkeeper as circulated in the images and take measures. If FIFA failed to do so, next time we should go with the crew of our native Doctors,” the Senator wrote on X.


A video that has been circulating on social media shows something allegedly fetish around the Ivorian goalkeeper, Yahia Fofana’s waist while playing in one of the matches.


The black material around his waist, secured with a white rope, was visible at the back of the goalkeeper,


SaharaReporters had reported how Nigeria’s national football team, Super Eagles was defeated on Sunday night during the AFCON final match.


Though many Nigerians have faulted the Super Eagles' performance at the AFCON final,  the team captain, Ahmad Musa said that despite the twists and turns of the game, the team stood strong, displaying resilience and determination that resonated with fans across the nation.
