 Terrorists, banditry activities in Northwest have reduced – Shehu Sani Shehu Sani, a former Kaduna Central Senator, has disclosed a decrease in the activities of terrorists and bandits in the Northwest. Sani said the recent killings of some top terrorists’ leaders could have been responsible for the decrease. Posting on X, the former lawmaker wrote: “In the last few weeks, there is a noticeable decrease in terrorist and banditry attacks and kidnappings in the North Western parts of this country. “The elimination of some of the top terrorist leaders must have been responsible.This is commendable and should be sustained.” In the past weeks, notable bandit leaders have been killed in the North. Those eliminated include- Haliru Kachalla Sububu or Buzu, Kachalla Tukur Sharme (killed by rival gang), Sani Black, another prominent bandit leader, killed along with his brother and two children, Kachalla Makore, Kachalla Mai Shayi Kachalla Tsoho Lulu and Mai’Yar Gitta. SOUTH AFRICA: A CAR STOLEN IN 2010,FOUND IN 2024.(PHOTO).


 A vehicle stolen in the Eastern Cape 14 years ago, was recovered in Mpumalanga and a suspect (31) was arrested by the joint Task Team members of Nerston and Mahamba boarder policing at Nerston Port of Entry on Saturday, 24 February 2024.


It was reported that when the task team members were doing vehicle verification on the white Toyota Corolla, it transpired that the vehicle identification number (VIN) on the license disk does not correspond with the VIN on the body of the vehicle. Further investigation was conducted, and the outcome indicated that the vehicle was reported stolen in Komani (Queenstown) in the Eastern Cape Province in December 2010.
