 ANAMBRA POLICE ARRESTS TWO SUSPECTED PRODUCERS OF ADULTERATED ALCOHOLIC DRINKS, RECOVERS COUNTERFEIT PRODUCTS AND CHEMICALS Operatives of the Anambra State Police Command attached to the Rapid Response Squad/VCRU have arrested two suspects allegedly involved in the production and distribution of adulterated alcoholic beverages in the State. The suspects, identified as Ikechukwu Okeke 42 years old and Okeke Chukwuemeka 38 years old were arrested in the early hours of today 15th June 2026,  following credible intelligence received by the Police. Preliminary investigation revealed that the suspects are members of a syndicate specializing in the adulteration and counterfeiting of various alcoholic beverages. During interrogation, the suspects reportedly confessed to the crime and subsequently led operatives to their mini-factory.  Sule Lamido Donates Multi Billion House To Jigawa University


Former Jigawa State Governor, Dr Sule Lamido has donated his country house to the Jigawa State government.


This was contained in a statement made available to newsmen by Lamido’s media aide, Mansur Ahmed, in Dutse.


The edifice located at Bamaina village in Birnin kudu local government area of the state would be utilised as Institute for Islamic Studies and Research under the Sule Lamido University, Kafin Hausa.


Dr Sule Lamido said that he built the house with the hope of donating it for a cause after his demise.


He also promised to upgrade the house and construct additional structures befitting of a research centre.


“He dedicated the house as a way of giving back to the people, who trusted him and gave him the mandate to develop the state,” the statement says.


In his remarks, the Jigawa state secretary to the state government, Alhaji Bala Ibrahim commended the gesture, and described Sule Lamido as patriotic citizen who has passion for the development of the state and the country at large.
