 NDLEA dismantles Abuja drug bunks, arrests 132, recovers 220kg illicit substances  -Marwa hails operation, vows to sustain crackdown in FCT, other states  In a non-stop two-week offensive action against traffickers and dealers, operatives of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) have successfully dismantled several drug joints and bunks within and around the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Abuja where a total of 132 suspects were arrested and 220 kilograms of assorted illicit substances recovered. The wel-coordinated raids jointly conducted by the Agency's Directorate of Operations and General Investigation (DOGI) and the FCT Strategic Command from llth to 25th April 2026 were launched to dismantle illicit drug hubs contributing to substance abuse, trafficking, and associated criminal activities in the capital city after weeks of intelligence and surveillance across all identified hotspots.  Wife Slaughters Husband In Niger State.


Newly wedded bride slaughtered her husband while he was sleeping in  Nassarawa village, Lapai, Niger State.


A 20-year-old Aisha Aliyu of Nasarawa village in Lapai Local Government Area of Niger State, has reportedly killed her husband, Idris Ahmadu.


The incident happened around 1 a.m. on Monday February 12, 2024.


Multiple sources said the couple got married on December 31, 2023.


One of the sources said the couple had a little misunderstanding in the evening on Sunday, and they were reconciled before going to bed until midnight when the mother of the deceased heard him screaming.


“When the mother came out alongside other residents, they saw him in a pool of blood. He tried to run out of the room, but he fell on the doorstep. But up until now, we don’t know the whereabouts of his wife,” he said.


The source said the wife had first stabbed the husband in the chest before she eventually slaughtered him.
