 Kaduna Targets ₦120bn IGR In 2026 — KADIRS Chairman   Kaduna State has set an Internally Generated Revenue (IGR) target of ₦120 billion for the 2026 fiscal year, with the Kaduna State Internal Revenue Service (KADIRS) expected to play a central role in achieving the target. The Executive Chairman of KADIRS, Jerry Adams, FCTI, FNIM, FCE, CNA, disclosed this during the Service’s Annual Performance Review, Work Plan, and Strategic Retreat.  He explained that although the state government approved ₦74 billion as KADIRS’ official revenue target, the Service raised its internal benchmark to ₦80.09 billion to motivate staff to exceed expectations. He further stated that the proposed 2026 budget by the Kaduna State Planning and Budget Commission stands at ₦117.28 billion, with KADIRS expected to generate ₦74.28 billion, while Ministries, Departments, and Agencies (MDAs) are projected to generate ₦43.24 billion.  ANNFE VERIFIES ADULT FACILITATORS TO STRENGTHEN EDUCATION

In a move to strengthen Adult Education programs in the state, the Anambra Agency for mass literacy Adult and Non-formal Education (AANFE), has launched a verification process for its Adult facilitators.


The Executive Director AANFE, Mrs Ebele Ononiuhu, while briefing the team in her office, said that the verification would be carried out at the local government levels to ensure fairness and transparency in the process.


Mrs Ononiuhu reaffirmed that verification is an important tool for any organization to move forward.


"This verification exercise is not just about paperwork and bureaucracy, it's about ensuring that our Adults Learners have the best possible chance to succeed, and help the Angecy to move forward. We want to make sure that every Adult who wants to learn has access to high quality Education, and this exercise is an important step in achieving that goal."


She further said that the exercise would lead to increase confidence in learning process, as well as a greater likelihood in Education goals.


"This process will eliminate fraudulent facilitators who may have been talking advantage of Adult Learners, create more honest and transparent Educational environment , and finally help to improve the overall reputation of Adult Education programs in the state," she added.


Mrs Ononiuhu, thanked the Anambra State Governor, Prof. Chukwuma Soludo, and the Commissioner for Education, Prof. Ngozi Chuma Udeh, for their tireless efforts in Education sector.


"I want to thank Mr Governor and madam commissioner for making this verification process a reality, just as we promise to work together to improve Adult Education in the state."
