 NSCDC Deploys 4,000 Personnel in FCT for Yuletide Security The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) FCT Command has assured residents of robust security throughout the Christmas and New Year festivities. Commandant Olusola Odumosu announced that 4,000 personnel have been deployed across the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) and its surrounding areas to ensure public safety and protect Critical National Assets and Infrastructure. The personnel, drawn from various specialized units including the Special Intervention Squad, Counter Terrorism Unit, Arm Squad, Agro Rangers, and others, will work to maintain peace and order during the festive season. KESHINRO APPRECIATES LAGOS STATE GOVERNMENT, LAGOS SECURITY TRUST FUND, GETS FOUR ( 4 ) NEW MOTORBIKES, PROMISES TO DEPLOY FOR CONTINUOUS PROVISION OF SAFETY AND SECURITY.



"We will ensure we deploy these motorbikes to carry out the recent Commandant General's directive, which is for us to ensure strict focus on the Mandates of the Corps so as to get the desired results ...," Keshinro said. 


Today, Thursday, 14th March, 2024, the Board of Trustees and Management of the  Lagos State Security Trust Fund ( LSSTF ) handed over four ( 4 ) Motorbikes to the State Commandant, Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps ( NSCDC ), Lagos State Command, Mr Adedotun Sunday Keshinro in fulfilment of their earlier promise to continue to support the Corps to effectively play its statutory role in the fight  against insecurity in the state.


The 4 Motorbikes was handed over to the Lagos State Commandant today, by Mr Degbola Lewis, Director of Administration, LSSTF, on behalf of the Chief Executive Officer/ Executive Secretary of the Fund, Dr Abdulrazaq Balogun.


The Nigerian Airforce and   the Lagos State Traffic Management Authority ( LASTMA ) was also given equal number of Motorbikes ( 4 each ) at the presentation held at the complex of the Fund today.


The State Commandant, has immediately, seized, this lofty opportunity to appreciate the State Government led by His Excellency, the Executive Governor of Lagos State, Mr Babajide Olusola Sanwo - Olu, the Board of Trustees and Management of the Lagos State Security Trust Fund for this unprecedented unflinching support to the Command. 


The Lagos State Commandant therefore, pledged to ensure the judicious deployment of the Motorbikes to fight bedeviling insecurity challenges that may want to undermine the safety and security of the state in some already identified flash points, black spots and locations across the state. 


"We will ensure we deploy these motorbikes to carry out the recent Commandant General's directive, which is for us to ensure strict focus on the Mandates of the Corps so as to get the desired results as they will help to increase our response time to crime in the state," Keshinro said. He further said that response time is most critical in combatting crime if not one may loose the battle to the enemy in an unpalatable and disappointing manner.
