 NDLEA dismantles Abuja drug bunks, arrests 132, recovers 220kg illicit substances  -Marwa hails operation, vows to sustain crackdown in FCT, other states  In a non-stop two-week offensive action against traffickers and dealers, operatives of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) have successfully dismantled several drug joints and bunks within and around the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Abuja where a total of 132 suspects were arrested and 220 kilograms of assorted illicit substances recovered. The wel-coordinated raids jointly conducted by the Agency's Directorate of Operations and General Investigation (DOGI) and the FCT Strategic Command from llth to 25th April 2026 were launched to dismantle illicit drug hubs contributing to substance abuse, trafficking, and associated criminal activities in the capital city after weeks of intelligence and surveillance across all identified hotspots.  NIGERIAN ARMY TROOPS RAID TERRORISTS' CAMP IN SAMBISA, NEUTRALISE TERRORISTS, RECOVER WEAPONS



Nigerian Army troops deployed to the North East as part of the ongoing counter-insurgency operations on Friday, March 8, 2024, conducted a successful raid operation on a terrorists' camp in the Arra area of Zambisa Forest. During the operation, the troops gallantly neutralized 3 terrorists, including a suicide bomber and destroyed their enclave in the area. After a thorough search, troops recovered 2 AK-47 Rifles and a suicide vest.


In another operation, troops conducted a clearance operation in the Buluwa Area of Kukawa Local Government Area of Borno State, where they uncovered and destroyed another terrorists' camp. In the encounter troops killed one terrorist and recovered one AK-47 Rifle, 14 rounds of 7.62mm (Special), a bicycle, foodstuff, a grinding machine, and other sundry items.


The Nigerian Army remains committed to the eradication of terrorism and insurgency in the region and will continue to conduct operations to ensure the safety and security of the populace.
