 Dolly Parton returns to public eye to celebrate opening day at Dollywood     Dolly Parton made her first public appearance in months to celebrate the opening day of Dollywood in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee, on Friday. The country music icon reflected on the past year, a year after the death of her husband of nearly 60 years, Carl Dean, saying she is “doing good” and has been working to rebuild herself spiritually, emotionally, and physically after grieving and dealing with health issues that kept her from touring. Joined on stage by Dollywood president Eugene Naughton, Parton brought her trademark humor to the crowd, joking about rumors of a new husband while reaffirming her devotion to Dean. She also shared updates on her ongoing projects, including a new Broadway musical and her Dolly’s Life of Many Colors Museum in Nashville.  Over Sixty Million Nigerians At Risk of Glaucoma – ODORBN


Optometrists and Dispensing Optician Registration Board of Nigeria, ODORBN, says over sixty million Nigerians are at risk of glaucoma disease in the country.


The Registrar of the Board, Dr. Obinna Awiaka made this known at a media briefing to commemorate this year’s Glaucoma week in Abuja.


According to Dr Awiaka, ‘’the World Glaucoma Week is a global initiative of the World Glaucoma Association aimed at raising awareness about the eye disease.


These include series of engagement with patients worldwide, eye-care providers, health professionals and the general public to contribute to sight preservation.


The Registrar said every black man is at the risk of glaucoma, and advised that the only way to tackle the disease was early detection through screening.


Dr. Awiaka described Glaucoma as the second leading cause of blindness worldwide after cataract.
