 Kaduna Targets ₦120bn IGR In 2026 — KADIRS Chairman   Kaduna State has set an Internally Generated Revenue (IGR) target of ₦120 billion for the 2026 fiscal year, with the Kaduna State Internal Revenue Service (KADIRS) expected to play a central role in achieving the target. The Executive Chairman of KADIRS, Jerry Adams, FCTI, FNIM, FCE, CNA, disclosed this during the Service’s Annual Performance Review, Work Plan, and Strategic Retreat.  He explained that although the state government approved ₦74 billion as KADIRS’ official revenue target, the Service raised its internal benchmark to ₦80.09 billion to motivate staff to exceed expectations. He further stated that the proposed 2026 budget by the Kaduna State Planning and Budget Commission stands at ₦117.28 billion, with KADIRS expected to generate ₦74.28 billion, while Ministries, Departments, and Agencies (MDAs) are projected to generate ₦43.24 billion. POLICE MINISTER PAYS WORKING VISIT ON IGP, PLEDGES SUPPORT FOR MODERNIZED, PROFESSIONAL POLICE FORCE


As IGP Assures of Commitment to Service Driven, People-Friendly, Rule of Law Compliant Police Force


The Inspector General of Police, IGP Kayode Adeolu Egbetokun, Ph.D., NPM, played host to the Honourable Minister of Police Affairs, Senator (Dr.) Ibrahim Gaidam, CON, along with the Minister of State for Police Affairs, Imaan Sulaiman Ibrahim, fsi, the Executive Secretary, Nigeria Police Trust Fund, Abdullahi Bala, and other Management Members of the Ministry of Police Affairs. The working visit held on Friday 15th March, 2024 at the IGP’s Smart Conference Hall, Force Headquarters, Abuja.


During the meeting, the Honourable Minister reiterated the government's unwavering support for the Nigeria Police Force's ongoing efforts towards modernization and professionalism. The Minister underscored the importance of equipping law enforcement personnel with the necessary tools, training, and resources to effectively carry out their duties while ensuring the protection of citizens' rights and safety.


In his response, the Inspector General of Police assured the Minister of the Nigeria Police Force's steadfast dedication to becoming a service-driven, people-friendly, and rule of law-compliant institution. He highlighted ongoing initiatives within the Force aimed at enhancing community engagement, promoting transparency, and fostering accountability.


The Inspector General of Police, while appreciating the Honourable Minister and his team for the working visit which provided an opportunity to review ideas towards improved security in the country, emphasized the significance of collaboration between the Ministry of Police and the Nigeria Police Force in achieving the shared objectives of building a safer and more secure society for all citizens.
