  DEVELOPING STORY: Man Found Unconscious After Allegedly Throwing Children From Storey Building in Aba A man was reportedly found unconscious but still breathing after allegedly falling from a storey building at New Phase of Umuobe by Barracks, Opobo Road, Obignwa, Abia State. The incident, which occurred on Thursday, has caused panic among residents of the area. Eyewitnesses told Magic FM Aba that the man allegedly threw two of his children from the building before attempting to throw down his wife. However, the circumstances surrounding the incident remain unclear. The two children were reportedly rushed to a hospital for medical attention. As of the time of filing this report, Magic FM Aba could not independently confirm their condition or whether they survived the fall. The man, who sustained an injury to the head, was still lying in front of his house and had yet to receive assistance as of the time of this report. A TEEN LOSES BOTH HER LEGS AFTER BEING STRUCK BY A TRAIN. (PHOTO).

 Granite City, Illinois teen loses both legs after being struck by a train.


13-year-old Serenity McMillan was crossing the tracks near the 2900 block of Missouri Avenue on April 5th when tragedy struck.


In an instant, this happy and bubbly Coolidge Junior High cheerleader's life was inexorably changed.


Serenity attempted to cross the tracks but was either unaware of the impending danger or miscalculated the train's speed.


Sadly this young lady was struck by the train. When first responders arrived on scene, Serenity was deemed as having life threatening injuries. 


She was rushed to a nearby hospital where she unfortunately and ultimately lost both of her legs. 


In light of this horrible accident the town of Granite City pulled together in an amazing display of community and has raised nearly $10,000 for the family.


However with such life altering injuries there is no limit to the expenses this family will face and a GoFundMe is still active if anyone wishes to donate.


Mayor Michael Parkinson has publicly commended the actions of the first responders saying , "I'm not sure she'd be here without them". 


This is truly a tragic ordeal for Serenity and her family and they are in our thoughts. Keep fighting Serenity we are now the ones cheering you on! The sky is the limit!
