 𝐁𝐮𝐡𝐚𝐫𝐢, 𝐀𝐛𝐛𝐚𝐬, 𝐀𝐤𝐮𝐦𝐞, 𝐎𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐫𝐬 𝐀𝐦𝐨𝐧𝐠 𝐚𝐬 𝐖𝐢𝐤𝐞 𝐑𝐞𝐯𝐨𝐤𝐞𝐬 𝐀𝐥𝐥𝐨𝐜𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐨𝐟 𝟕𝟔𝟐 𝐅𝐂𝐓 𝐋𝐚𝐧𝐝𝐨𝐰𝐧𝐞𝐫𝐬 Nyesom Wike, the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, has revoked the lands allocated to several prominent Nigerians, including former President Muhammadu Buhari, Speaker of the House of Representatives Tajudeen Abbas, and Secretary to the Government of the Federation George Akume, due to non-payment of Certificate of Occupancy fees. Also, 759 other prominent figures and organisations in Maitama II, Abuja. were also affected by the revocation which was for non-payment of Certificate of Occupancy. Ekiti: Police Nab Twins, 2 Others Over Theft Of Rice, Beans, N936,750 Worth Goods


The Ekiti State Police Command has apprehended twin brothers for burglary and stealing of food items and other valuable goods.


The command, through its Public Relations Officer, Abutu Sunday, disclosed that two other suspects were arrested alongside the twin brothers for receiving stolen items.


The command stated, “On 25/04/2024 at about 8 AM, one Olasoji Kehinde and Olasoji Taiwo were arrested while attempting to break a shop at Mathew Street, Odo-Ado, Ado-Ekiti.


“During interrogation, the suspects confessed to the crime and further stated that they were responsible for the burgling of three shop in Fayemi Market at Agric Olope, Ado-Ekiti.


“At Agric Olope, they carted away two bags of rice, two bags of beans and other valuables valued N936,750.”


It was noted that “Further investigation by the Command Rapid Response Squad (RRS) led to the arrest of one Afolayan Funke ‘f’ and Nnaji Benignus Aroh ‘m’ who the suspects claimed have been receiving stolen properties from them.”


Sunday said the suspects would be arraigned in court after conclusion of investigations.

  SSANU, NASU threaten strike over withheld salaries The Joint Action Committee of the Senior Staff Association of Nigerian Universities and the Non-Academic Staff Union of Educational and Associated Institutions have threatened to disrupt industrial peace in universities should the government fail to release the withheld salaries of members. The salaries were seized by the administration of former President Muhammadu Buhari during their strike in 2022. The unions, in a joint letter signed on Friday by the President of SSANU, Muhammed Ibrahim and General Secretary of NASU, Peters Adeyemi, questioned the rationale with which the government released four months withheld salaries to members of the Academic Staff Union of Universities but failed to release the withheld salaries of non-academic staff.
