 Again, Gov Diri Tasks Traditional Rulers To Maintain Peace, Security At King Awala's Coronation  Bayelsa State Governor, Senator Douye Diri, has again urged traditional rulers to remain focused on the maintenance of peace, security and stability in their various domains as part of their contribution towards the development of the state. Governor Diri made the call at the weekend during the coronation ceremony ofHis Royal Majesty King Victor Awala, Ebeni-Ibe the Eighth (VIII) of Atissa Kingdom in the Yenagoa Local Government Area of Bayelsa State, at the Bishop Dimieari Grammar School, Yenagoa, the state capital. Represented by his deputy, Dr Peter Akpe, the Bayelsa Chief Executive acknowledged the critical role traditional rulers play in society as the custodians of culture and tradition, stressing that his administration will continue to hold them in high esteem.  Over 50,000 Nigerian Pilgrims to perform 2024 Hajj – NAHCON

The National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON) says no fewer than 50,000 Nigerian intending pilgrims will perform the 2024 hajj in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.


Executive Chairman of NAHCON, Mallam Jalal Arabi, disclosed this at a news conference held at Hajj House in Abuja.


Malam Arabi, however, told newsmen, that it was a significant milestone and a miracle that Nigerians could still be represented by a huge number despite the challenges caused by foreign exchange instability, reforms and the deadlines set by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.


He insisted that Nigerians should celebrate the milestone at a time many countries have officially informed Saudi authorities of their inability to fill their quotas.


“Against all odds, we will perform Hajj this year in a big way. We will go with massive numbers. We will beat some powerful countries. Some of them have thrown in the towel and asked for their quotas to be reduced.


“We must always work hard to remit monies on time to meet up with all the logistics and the deadlines set by Saudi Arabia authorities.


“We are not indicting anyone or group but people must do the right things on time for us to always be on the same page with the Arabian authorities.


Mallam Arabi said, going forward, Hajj Savings Scheme would be the surest method to adopt.


He pledged that the commission would embark on adequate sensitisation and enlightenment to ensure that intending pilgrims key into it.


The Saudi Ministry of Hajj and Umrah had allocated 95,000 Hajj slots to Nigeria for the 2024 pilgrimage.

Innoson Gives Out Brand New IVM G5 and Salary For Life To The Man Who Prophesied About His Vehicle Manufacturing In 1979.  Last Saturday, July 22nd the Chairman of Innoson Vehicle Manufacturing Company Ltd, Chief Dr Innocent Ifediaso Chukwuma OFR gave out a brand new Innoson IVM G5 to Mr Ikechukwu Osakwe popularly known as Osabros who prophesied to him in 1979 that he would be the first man in Africa to manufacture vehicles and sell to different African countries.  The prophecy was given at the period the then Innocent Chukwuma could not boast of a car, talk less of manufacturing one.
