 Catholic priest reportedly klled in Kogi  A Catholic priest, Rev. Fr. Samuel Opeyemi Oyetoro, has been reportedly killed by unknown assailants in Ajaokuta, Kogi State. According to reports, the priest was stabbed multiple times along Ajaokuta road on Wednesday, 29th July 2026. His body was found dumped at the roadside.  Rev. Fr. Oyetoro was born in Egbe, Yagba West Local Government Area of Kogi State and a native of Ayetoro in Ijumu Local Government Area.  Until his death, he served as a priest at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Egbe. PHONE THIEVES ARRESTED BY THE LAGOS POLICE COMMAND. (PHOTOS).

 While a passerby was making a phone call at about 11pm, five young men in a tricycle accosted her and robbed her of her expensive phone. She quickly raised the alarm, prompting people around to go after the men. Three escaped while two were apprehended. Officers of Bode Thomas Division got wind of this and raced to the scene. They arrived quickly enough to rescue Kehinde Olayinka ‘m’ aged 22 and Junior Olanrewaju ‘m’ aged 21 from an angry mob. Investigation is ongoing to apprehend the fleeing suspects.
