 NDLEA dismantles Abuja drug bunks, arrests 132, recovers 220kg illicit substances  -Marwa hails operation, vows to sustain crackdown in FCT, other states  In a non-stop two-week offensive action against traffickers and dealers, operatives of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) have successfully dismantled several drug joints and bunks within and around the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Abuja where a total of 132 suspects were arrested and 220 kilograms of assorted illicit substances recovered. The wel-coordinated raids jointly conducted by the Agency's Directorate of Operations and General Investigation (DOGI) and the FCT Strategic Command from llth to 25th April 2026 were launched to dismantle illicit drug hubs contributing to substance abuse, trafficking, and associated criminal activities in the capital city after weeks of intelligence and surveillance across all identified hotspots.  Police Arrests 11 Suspects In Kwara Over Illegal Arms Possessions, Others


Kwara state Police command has arrested eleven(11) suspects over alleged Kidnapping, Homicide, Armed robbery , and llegal possession of fire arms .


Parading the suspects at the Police Headquarters in Ilorin ,the state Commisssioner of Police ,Victor Olaiya said the suspects were arrested in different parts of the state.


According to him the successes recorded was as a result of deligence, and hard work of the officers and men of the command .


Mr Olaiya said during interrogation all the suspect admitted committing the crimes.


He explained that the suspects have led investigators  to their hideout where incriminating exhibits including fire arms and criminal charms were recovered.


The commissioner noted that all the suspect would be charged to court as soon as investigations are concluded for prosecution.


Mr Olaiya said the command will continue to collaborate with sister security agencies to ensure criminal activities are reduced to the bearest minimum.
