 TROOPS APPREHEND SUSPECTED TERRORIST COLLABORATORS, FAMILY OF ISWAP FINANCE CHIEF SURRENDERS, RECOVER LOGISTICS ITEMS Troops of Operation HADIN KAI (OPHK) have continued to sustain pressure on  terrorists through series of intelligence-led operations that resulted in the arrest of suspected terrorist collaborators, the surrender of the family members of a senior ISWAP commander, and the recovery of terrorist logistics items. In one of the operations conducted on 27 July 2026, troops of 5 Brigade arrested six ISWAP collaborators in Damasak, Borno State. Preliminary investigations revealed that the suspects were allegedly generating funds for the terrorist group through the procurement and sale of cattle at designated markets in Gubio, Damasak and Ajuwango. Items recovered from the suspects included one Volkswagen Golf vehicle, vehicle keys, four mobile phones of different brands, cow meat and the sum of ₦317,950.00.  Super Eagles coach Finidi may opt for foreign assistant


New Super Eagles head coach Finidi George is likely to settle for a foreign assistant coach.

According to SCORENigeria, Finidi has been given a free hand by the Nigeria Football Federation, NFF, to pick his assistants.

The move is reportedly to avoid rancour in the backroom staff.

The new gaffer is keen to work with those who will add real value to what he aims to achieve.

Former internationals, Emmanuel Amuneke, Daniel Amokachi, and Michael Nsien are among the names already touted to be part of the new technical crew.
