 Dolly Parton returns to public eye to celebrate opening day at Dollywood     Dolly Parton made her first public appearance in months to celebrate the opening day of Dollywood in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee, on Friday. The country music icon reflected on the past year, a year after the death of her husband of nearly 60 years, Carl Dean, saying she is “doing good” and has been working to rebuild herself spiritually, emotionally, and physically after grieving and dealing with health issues that kept her from touring. Joined on stage by Dollywood president Eugene Naughton, Parton brought her trademark humor to the crowd, joking about rumors of a new husband while reaffirming her devotion to Dean. She also shared updates on her ongoing projects, including a new Broadway musical and her Dolly’s Life of Many Colors Museum in Nashville.  15-year-old Jaylen's huge catch has been officially certified as the biggest catch in the state of Ohio! Congratulations, Jaylen!

15-year-old Ohio girl reels in a record breaking catch! 


Jaylen Parker was jugging (using a Clorox bottle and 200 lb test line) on the Ohio River, an activity her and her dad have shared since early childhood. Little did she know she was getting ready to have the fishing story of a lifetime.  


Jaylen pulled in a 101.11 lb blue catfish, an Ohio state record if confirmed by the state! 


Jaylen admits her dad and his friend helped her wrangle in this massive fish. She says she only weighs 10 lbs more than her humongous catch so there was no way she could have pulled it in by herself.

After weighing, documenting and photographing this ancient creature from the depths of the Ohio River she released it back to continue its fish life.
