 NDLEA dismantles Abuja drug bunks, arrests 132, recovers 220kg illicit substances  -Marwa hails operation, vows to sustain crackdown in FCT, other states  In a non-stop two-week offensive action against traffickers and dealers, operatives of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) have successfully dismantled several drug joints and bunks within and around the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Abuja where a total of 132 suspects were arrested and 220 kilograms of assorted illicit substances recovered. The wel-coordinated raids jointly conducted by the Agency's Directorate of Operations and General Investigation (DOGI) and the FCT Strategic Command from llth to 25th April 2026 were launched to dismantle illicit drug hubs contributing to substance abuse, trafficking, and associated criminal activities in the capital city after weeks of intelligence and surveillance across all identified hotspots. A 105-YEAR-OLD WOMAN GETS TO RIDE ALONG WITH THE FIRE DEPARTMENT AND POLICE FOR HER BIRTHDAY. (PHOTO).

 A 105-year-old woman gets to ride along with the fire department and police for her birthday! 


All of the first responders in Plymouth, Minnesota share a special bond with Hootie Wakefield, as she loves her local police and fire department. The entire force has been celebrating her birthdays with her for several years now and the bond keeps getting stronger. For her 105th birthday the town's first responders did something a little more special and let her ride around with them while chatting with her. 


 They also invited her into their fire station for an up close look at their equipment and gear.


Hootie's birthday was in December but the fire department was only able to schedule her birthday wish this week. Hootie says she had a, "fabulous day and that fire truck people are fun." 


The police department fulfilled their ride along wish a couple of weeks prior. Hootie has gotten the royal treatment from all area first responders for her 105th birthday. 


This is a great story and I love seeing communities coming together to celebrate a wonderful generation. 


There is no word on if she found the police or fire fighters more entertaining.
