 Russian forces to stay in Mali to fight terrorism: Kremlin The Kremlin said on Thursday that Russian forces would stay in Mali to help the country's government battle terrorists following an offensive over the weekend by Tuareg-led separatists and terrorists. Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov made the statement after being asked by a reporter how Russia responded to a purported statement from the terrorists saying they wanted Russia to leave Mali. "Russia's presence there is, in fact, due to the need identified by the current government. Russia will continue, including in Mali, to combat extremism, terrorism and other harmful phenomena and will continue to provide assistance to the current government," said Peskov, AFP reported. The Russian Defence Ministry had claimed on Tuesday that units of its African Corps prevented an attempted coup on April 25, 2026 in Mali.  God is bigger than everything” – Portable breaks silence following arrest



Controversial Nigerian singer Habeeb Okikiola, popularly known as Portable, has made his first public statement following his arrest.


It was reported on Tuesday evening that The Lagos State Police Command arrested the singer for refusing to pay the debt he incurred when he purchased G-Wagon from a car dealer in the state.


It was gathered that Portable, during the purchase of the vehicle worth N27m, paid only N13m and had refused to pay the N14m balance on the pretext that the car was faulty.


The car dealer reported the matter to the police, who swung into action and arrested the singer.


Now speaking out, the singer, via his Instagram page, stated that God is bigger than everything. He added for anyone who believed in the saying to say Amen.


Portable went on to stress that God is over everything.
