 NDLEA dismantles Abuja drug bunks, arrests 132, recovers 220kg illicit substances  -Marwa hails operation, vows to sustain crackdown in FCT, other states  In a non-stop two-week offensive action against traffickers and dealers, operatives of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) have successfully dismantled several drug joints and bunks within and around the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Abuja where a total of 132 suspects were arrested and 220 kilograms of assorted illicit substances recovered. The wel-coordinated raids jointly conducted by the Agency's Directorate of Operations and General Investigation (DOGI) and the FCT Strategic Command from llth to 25th April 2026 were launched to dismantle illicit drug hubs contributing to substance abuse, trafficking, and associated criminal activities in the capital city after weeks of intelligence and surveillance across all identified hotspots.  IMO STATE GOVT TO SPONSOR ANOTHER SET OF CHRISTIAN PILGRIMS TO HOLYLAND 


AS NCPC AWARDS GOVERNOR UZODIMMA THE PILGRIMAGE GOVERNOR OF THE YEAR 


The Imo State Government, under the leadership of Governor Hope Uzodimma, is set to sponsor another group of Christian pilgrims to the Holy Land, affirming its commitment to fostering religious activities and enabling believers to deepen their spiritual journey. 


This announcement coincided with Governor Uzodimma being honored as the Pilgrimage Governor of the Year 2024 by the Nigerian Christian Pilgrims Commission (NCPC), alongside being appointed the first Christian Pilgrimage Ambassador of Nigeria. 


During the recognition ceremony, Governor Uzodimma expressed gratitude to the NCPC for their acknowledgment and emphasized the fruitful partnership between the commission and the state government, stating, "We are united in our pursuit of God's work." 


Bishop STV Adegbite, the Executive Secretary of the NCPC, lauded Governor Uzodimma for his unwavering support towards the Imo State chapter of the commission, highlighting his sponsorship of the largest number of pilgrims in the state, a feat that earned him the prestigious awards.
