 Dolly Parton returns to public eye to celebrate opening day at Dollywood     Dolly Parton made her first public appearance in months to celebrate the opening day of Dollywood in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee, on Friday. The country music icon reflected on the past year, a year after the death of her husband of nearly 60 years, Carl Dean, saying she is “doing good” and has been working to rebuild herself spiritually, emotionally, and physically after grieving and dealing with health issues that kept her from touring. Joined on stage by Dollywood president Eugene Naughton, Parton brought her trademark humor to the crowd, joking about rumors of a new husband while reaffirming her devotion to Dean. She also shared updates on her ongoing projects, including a new Broadway musical and her Dolly’s Life of Many Colors Museum in Nashville.  IMO STATE GOVT TO SPONSOR ANOTHER SET OF CHRISTIAN PILGRIMS TO HOLYLAND 


AS NCPC AWARDS GOVERNOR UZODIMMA THE PILGRIMAGE GOVERNOR OF THE YEAR 


The Imo State Government, under the leadership of Governor Hope Uzodimma, is set to sponsor another group of Christian pilgrims to the Holy Land, affirming its commitment to fostering religious activities and enabling believers to deepen their spiritual journey. 


This announcement coincided with Governor Uzodimma being honored as the Pilgrimage Governor of the Year 2024 by the Nigerian Christian Pilgrims Commission (NCPC), alongside being appointed the first Christian Pilgrimage Ambassador of Nigeria. 


During the recognition ceremony, Governor Uzodimma expressed gratitude to the NCPC for their acknowledgment and emphasized the fruitful partnership between the commission and the state government, stating, "We are united in our pursuit of God's work." 


Bishop STV Adegbite, the Executive Secretary of the NCPC, lauded Governor Uzodimma for his unwavering support towards the Imo State chapter of the commission, highlighting his sponsorship of the largest number of pilgrims in the state, a feat that earned him the prestigious awards.
