 𝐁𝐮𝐡𝐚𝐫𝐢, 𝐀𝐛𝐛𝐚𝐬, 𝐀𝐤𝐮𝐦𝐞, 𝐎𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐫𝐬 𝐀𝐦𝐨𝐧𝐠 𝐚𝐬 𝐖𝐢𝐤𝐞 𝐑𝐞𝐯𝐨𝐤𝐞𝐬 𝐀𝐥𝐥𝐨𝐜𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐨𝐟 𝟕𝟔𝟐 𝐅𝐂𝐓 𝐋𝐚𝐧𝐝𝐨𝐰𝐧𝐞𝐫𝐬 Nyesom Wike, the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, has revoked the lands allocated to several prominent Nigerians, including former President Muhammadu Buhari, Speaker of the House of Representatives Tajudeen Abbas, and Secretary to the Government of the Federation George Akume, due to non-payment of Certificate of Occupancy fees. Also, 759 other prominent figures and organisations in Maitama II, Abuja. were also affected by the revocation which was for non-payment of Certificate of Occupancy.  Kaduna Revenue Service Cracks Down On Businesses Over Unpaid Taxes, Seals Liberty Radio/TV, Millennium Hotels, Others


In a bid to bolster revenue collections and ensure tax compliance, the Kaduna State Internal Revenue Service has taken decisive action against several businesses with significant tax arrears.


The crackdown saw the sealing of various business premises across the state.


Among the establishments affected are Liberty Radio/TV, Martaba Millennium Hotels, and others, which were found to have substantial unpaid taxes. 


The sealed premises include Admiralty Naval Suites, Bijo Surgical & Scientific Limited, Zedvance Finance Limited, Big City Event Centre, Deluxe Suites, TXTLight Power Solution, Lek Dental & Maxillo Facial Hospital, Martaba Millennium Hotel, Azaka, and Enyo Filling Station. Each of these businesses was cited for its respective tax liabilities, ranging from thousands to millions of Naira.

  SSANU, NASU threaten strike over withheld salaries The Joint Action Committee of the Senior Staff Association of Nigerian Universities and the Non-Academic Staff Union of Educational and Associated Institutions have threatened to disrupt industrial peace in universities should the government fail to release the withheld salaries of members. The salaries were seized by the administration of former President Muhammadu Buhari during their strike in 2022. The unions, in a joint letter signed on Friday by the President of SSANU, Muhammed Ibrahim and General Secretary of NASU, Peters Adeyemi, questioned the rationale with which the government released four months withheld salaries to members of the Academic Staff Union of Universities but failed to release the withheld salaries of non-academic staff.
