 Dolly Parton returns to public eye to celebrate opening day at Dollywood     Dolly Parton made her first public appearance in months to celebrate the opening day of Dollywood in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee, on Friday. The country music icon reflected on the past year, a year after the death of her husband of nearly 60 years, Carl Dean, saying she is “doing good” and has been working to rebuild herself spiritually, emotionally, and physically after grieving and dealing with health issues that kept her from touring. Joined on stage by Dollywood president Eugene Naughton, Parton brought her trademark humor to the crowd, joking about rumors of a new husband while reaffirming her devotion to Dean. MAY 30: ENUGU GOVERNOR PETER MBAH WARNS IPOB OVER SIT -AT-HOME ORDER, SAYS WAEC EXAMS CAN'T WAIT IN SOUTH-EAST. 



IPOB, a pro-Biafra group and other pro-Biafra agitators had warned the management of the Nnamdi Azikiwe University (UNIZIK) in Anambra State against holding its convocation ceremony on May 30.


The Governor Peter Mbah-led Enugu State Government has condemned what he described as an attempt to scuttle the Senior Secondary School Certificate Examination (SSCE) in the state on Thursday, May 30, 2024.


SaharaReporters reported on May 28 that the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) reiterated that the May 30 sit-at-home exercise across South-East Nigeria 🇳🇬 would be held as planned.
