  DEVELOPING STORY: Man Found Unconscious After Allegedly Throwing Children From Storey Building in Aba A man was reportedly found unconscious but still breathing after allegedly falling from a storey building at New Phase of Umuobe by Barracks, Opobo Road, Obignwa, Abia State. The incident, which occurred on Thursday, has caused panic among residents of the area. Eyewitnesses told Magic FM Aba that the man allegedly threw two of his children from the building before attempting to throw down his wife. However, the circumstances surrounding the incident remain unclear. The two children were reportedly rushed to a hospital for medical attention. As of the time of filing this report, Magic FM Aba could not independently confirm their condition or whether they survived the fall. The man, who sustained an injury to the head, was still lying in front of his house and had yet to receive assistance as of the time of this report.  POLICE ARREST 40 SUSPECTS IN YABA

 

The operatives of Lagos Rapid Response Squad (RRS) on Tuesday night arrested 40 suspected criminals in different black spots  within  Yaba.

 

The 40 suspects were arrested at about 10:00 p.m. when the operatives of Rapid Response squad

working with members of Lagos State Neighbourhood Safety Agency swooped on the areas.

 

The raid is sequel to complaints from members of the public about the activities of criminals who  waylay passersby and rob them of their belongings.

The Commander, Rapid Response Squad (RRS) CSP Olayinka Egbeyemi had following the complaints and the approval of the Commissioner of Police, CP Adegoke Fayoade directed the operatives to commence discreet surveillance of the area before the arrest.

40 suspects were arrested during operation while nine were released to their family members after a thorough screening of all the suspects at RRS Headquarters, Alausa by CSP Olayinka Egbeyemi.

The Commander has ordered that the 31 suspects be charged to court in line with the directives of the commissioner of police.
