 Dolly Parton returns to public eye to celebrate opening day at Dollywood     Dolly Parton made her first public appearance in months to celebrate the opening day of Dollywood in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee, on Friday. The country music icon reflected on the past year, a year after the death of her husband of nearly 60 years, Carl Dean, saying she is “doing good” and has been working to rebuild herself spiritually, emotionally, and physically after grieving and dealing with health issues that kept her from touring. Joined on stage by Dollywood president Eugene Naughton, Parton brought her trademark humor to the crowd, joking about rumors of a new husband while reaffirming her devotion to Dean. She also shared updates on her ongoing projects, including a new Broadway musical and her Dolly’s Life of Many Colors Museum in Nashville. A DETECTIVE LOST HIS LIFE WHILE UNLOADING WEAPONS AFTER THE EXECUTION OF A WARRANT.(PHOTO).

 A detective with Scottsdale, AZ Police lost his life while unloading weapons after the execution of a warrant.


Detective Ryan So was working to unload weapons with other officers in the special Assignment Unit on June 14th. As Detective So removed a bag from a vehicle, a rifle fell out of the bag and discharged when it hit the ground. The round struck Detective So and other officer's in scene began life saving measures immediately.  He was rushed to a nearby hospital where he succumbed to his injury. There is no report on whether the weapon was confiscated during the warrant or one of the department's weapons. It is also not clear who was responsible for making sure the guns were safe to transport and handle. They have not released where Detective Ryan So's injury occurred. 


Ryan So was a 9 year veteran of the Scottsdale Pd whose untimely passing leaves behind a wife and three daughters. His family is in our thoughts during this difficult time.
