 Dolly Parton returns to public eye to celebrate opening day at Dollywood     Dolly Parton made her first public appearance in months to celebrate the opening day of Dollywood in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee, on Friday. The country music icon reflected on the past year, a year after the death of her husband of nearly 60 years, Carl Dean, saying she is “doing good” and has been working to rebuild herself spiritually, emotionally, and physically after grieving and dealing with health issues that kept her from touring. Joined on stage by Dollywood president Eugene Naughton, Parton brought her trademark humor to the crowd, joking about rumors of a new husband while reaffirming her devotion to Dean. She also shared updates on her ongoing projects, including a new Broadway musical and her Dolly’s Life of Many Colors Museum in Nashville. A RARE SITATUNGA ANTELOPE DIES AFTER CHOKING ON A PROHIBITED FOOD PACKAGE AT A TENNESSEE ZOO. (PHOTO).

 A rare Sitatunga Antelope dies after choking on a prohibited food package at a Tennessee zoo.


A Sitatunga Antelope named Leif, passed away Saturday at Bright's Zoo after choking on a container for squeezable apple sauce. 


David Bright, the owner of the zoo, says Leif was very people friendly and curious.  He said if someone threw or handed him something he would check it out. 


Zoo staff noticed he was in distress and had a vet at the facility within 20 minutes, despite their best efforts to remove the package from his throat, Leif passed away.


Bright went on to say that this was the very reason for food restrictions within the park. He reminded everyone there are designated picnic areas for guests to enjoy snacks.
