OP-ED: “Let President Muhammadu Buhari Rest In Peace” - By Nasir Ahmad El-Rufai  The recent launch of a book on the life and legacy of our late leader, President Muhammadu Buhari, has stirred deep emotions and renewed divisions among those who once formed his inner circle. Having followed the headlines and images from the event, I felt compelled to make a simple but urgent appeal: let us allow President Buhari to rest in peace. A careful look at those who dominated the book launch revealed the same factional lines that existed during Buhari’s lifetime. One camp was prominently represented, while others—equally close to the late president—were excluded. AN ENTIRE NEIGHBORHOOD RUSHED OUT TO SAVE 4 OCCUPANTS OF A CRASHED PLANE IN COLORADO. (PHOTO).

An entire neighborhood rushes to save 4 occupants of a crashed plane in Colorado.

On Friday June 7th 2024, a 1969 Beechcraft 35 took off from Denver's Centennial Airport headed in to Rocky Mountain Metropolitan Airport. Two adults and two children were aboard the plane. Around 15 minutes after takeoff the pilot began radioing traffic control to report the plane was experiencing engine troubles.

Around 9:30 a.m., the airplane crashed into an Arvada, Colorado, neighborhood. Residents of the neighborhood were shocked by the violence of the impact, however it did not stop multiple people exiting their homes and running to render aid; including an entire construction crew. Neighbors used their garden hoses to push back the flames while others managed to extract the 4 occupants of the plane.

It's assumed the pilot was trying to make an emergency landing on the roadway but must have clipped a tree or another object causing the crash.

The 4 occupants all suffered injuries but ultimately escaped the harrowing experience with their lives thanks to quick acting citizens.

The NTSB is asking witnesses or anyone who may have video footage that could help with the investigation to contact them via email at witness@ntsb.gov .
